Glider

Glider
Soar to new heights and make a glider that you can throw. What's the furthest distance or longest flight time you can manage?
OUT OF...

Pallets

Pallets
This isn't just any wood, this is beaten up and pre-used. Find as many pallets as you need and be sure to get permission before nabbing them. Also be sure to clean the wood up properly after removing any rusty nails carefully.

Hammer and nails

Hammer
Final fix must be hammer and nails, and nothing else, no glue, not even tape. You can still cut things down to size and measurement and marking tools don't count either.

Further info

Most of these project ideas and options have been selected to be as accessible as possible to a wide range of people. They should be considered as starting points for your own ideas and plans to be developed from and are intentionally ‘open’ so that different makers will create different designs whilst overcoming the challenges of the material and tool restrictions that have been chosen for them.

Depending on the limitations of someone’s workshop the generated project might not always be suitable, so if that happens you can just generate another.

The above doesn’t limit you from sanding, adding polish or finishes, and above all else, make sure that however you’re working on a project that you do so safely and with supervision or help where necessary.

Top thing to remember, have fun with this. Be inventive, share the challenges you faced and also let everyone see what you created.
