| Space is always at a premium in a workshop, but taking the load off your feet is equally important at times. Design and build a chair that can fold or be dismantled virtually flat for storage but strong enough to take a person sitting on it. Further ideas & starting points It doesn't have to be a deck chair like the icon depicts as that's quite complex. Instead, think about creating a simple frame for the legs that can collapse down when not in use, but have a seat top added when it is. For a shape, if you're starting with a slanted box as the main frame, then you're heading in the right direction. |

| Do your bit for the environment and only use things that you can find in trash cans or have been dumped in some way. Limit yourself to only searching for a couple of hours in an area and check you have permission first. No stealing! |

Most of these project ideas and options have been selected to be as accessible as possible to a wide range of people. They should be considered as starting points for your own ideas and plans to be developed from and are intentionally ‘open’ so that different makers will create different designs whilst overcoming the challenges of the material and tool restrictions that have been chosen for them.
Depending on the limitations of someone’s workshop the generated project might not always be suitable, so if that happens you can just generate another.
The above doesn’t limit you from sanding, adding polish or finishes, and above all else, make sure that however you’re working on a project that you do so safely and with supervision or help where necessary.
Top thing to remember, have fun with this. Be inventive, share the challenges you faced and also let everyone see what you created.
