YOU'RE MAKING a...Marble maze | |

| A classic but simple enough puzzle for you to roll through with an entrance, exit and multiple branches off the main route to confuse those trying to find the way through. Not to be confused with a labyrinth which only has one path through to the centre and then out again. Also not to be confused with the creepy old movie. You could add traps for the marble, but ensure that it can easily be manoeuvred by any player. Further ideas & starting points Start simple. Take a board that's of a size that you can easily hold with both hands for a period of time, then sketch out a path. Don't make it too simple, but be mindful that it will will need to be wide enough to accommodate a marble along with the walls that you'll be adding. Once you have a set route you can add offshoots and red herring routes to add a bit of complexity. You can add walls using strips of material and contact adhesive, or you could carve the path out of the board to create channels instead, just ensure that the channels are smooth enough to allow a marble to roll freely. |

| Stand in one location in your workshop, draw a circle around your feet, then grab any materials you can reach without your feet moving, and don't cheat by placing materials nearby to start with! You can lose the circle once you have your materials. |

Most of these project ideas and options have been selected to be as accessible as possible to a wide range of people. They should be considered as starting points for your own ideas and plans to be developed from and are intentionally ‘open’ so that different makers will create different designs whilst overcoming the challenges of the material and tool restrictions that have been chosen for them.
Depending on the limitations of someone’s workshop the generated project might not always be suitable, so if that happens you can just generate another.
The above doesn’t limit you from sanding, adding polish or finishes, and above all else, make sure that however you’re working on a project that you do so safely and with supervision or help where necessary.
Top thing to remember, have fun with this. Be inventive, share the challenges you faced and also let everyone see what you created.
